Description:
This hack facilitates entry of long/common names and values. It essentially just autocorrects one string (set of characters) with another string.
This hack facilitates entry of long/common names and values. It essentially just autocorrects one string (set of characters) with another string.
Steps:
Step 1: Open Autocorrect dialog (File-Options-Proofing-AutoCorrect Options)
|
Step 2: ADD an instruction to REPLACE character string WITH a different character string, click OK.
For the example above, each time that 'ggg' is typed in an Excel cell, 'MyLongNameHere@Gmail.com' will replace it instantly.
|
Notes:
Caution: Make sure to use an unlikely string in the REPLACE value. For instance, if you just use 'gg', then words like 'Suggest' will transform into 'SuMyLongNameHere@Gmail.comest'.
